  1. Hughes net was never suppose to be a fast connection but a way to get internet access in places where you are too far away to get DSL and where dial up is the only option.Who adjusted your dish? Techs who install the service only adjust the dish to get about 70% of the signal. There might be a tool or software from Hughes where you can have someone monitor and you move the dish to hit that +90% connection.I have seen people get 50Mbps download. Over time, you should be checking to see if the dish moved as wind/weather will move your dish out of place causing to get a weaker signal
  2. Right now I have optimum ultra 101 which is speeds 101mbps down and 35mbps up. Since I work for the company I just spend $55 a month for the connection.
  3. Im still having the same problem. It comes and goes for some reason. One day I wont get anything faster then 6Mbps down and up but some days I will get 25Mbps down and 9Mbps up
  4. 100Mbps is about 12MB/s (Average speed for a HDD is 40MB/s to 90MB/s) More platters you have in a drive the faster the drive is. 1000Mbps is about 125MB/s (Only HDDs that can run at that speed and faster are SSD but the 1.5TB 5 platter drive do run at 100MB/s so it's still better to get a modem that has 1000Mbps WAN)
  5. The problem came back. (Test taken at 2:30pm) Here is my traceroute. The problem could be my router. What Im going to do is remove my router out of the network and just plug myself directly into the modem. This way we can eliminate my local network. I was getting this as of a result before the problem came back.
  6. I need to find someone like that ()b
  7. I also have the same package. At first I get 50Mbps down but it starts to drop down to 25Mbps

  9. I think I have found out why it was off. I removed a switch out of my network and ever since I did that my test speeds are back to normal. I guess the switch was bad or causing additional lag onto my network. Thanks for your help.
