  1. Cable technology is not like ADSL, when less ppl using it, you can get faster than normal, but other way, you will receive a very slow download. Optus cable is sh*t anyway, try Internode or other ISPs then, forget about Optus. You can try the TCP Optimizer, it works quiet well and hell easy to use. P/s: Where is your location in Australia? Edited: This is my result from the test, i am using iiNet ADSL2+ capped at 12000Kbps. With Cablenut tweaks, i could get some results at 1300 KB/s download. but it is not stable so just use the TCP Optimizer combine with Cablenut.

  5. thanks for replying very quickly, i am using ADSL PPPoE so thereforce, the MTU is 1492, i used the website you mentioned before to someone to calculate all things and get a CSS file, put in the Cablenut programme and all done. i am also testing with TCP optimizer from Speedguide and it works well, the TCP size it gives me is 522720. just wanna squeeze a bit more from my connection so trying different programmes to tweak. your one works quiet well, but just not stable, not sure because of the testmy server or your tweak programme, i really need a bit more time to monitor my connection to tell, which programme is the best for me...anyway, thanks a lot for your tweaks, nice to see you here, help everyone...
