They serve the Ellis County area of Texas. This is located South of Dallas. I would highly recommend them. Their uptime is about 99.9%. If something does take the system out, they promptly get it back online. Their competitor, Texas Air Net, gave me very poor service. Texas Air Net did a poor install job. Their service was very unreliable. It sometimes took them weeks to get my service back. For me, in my area, Air Canopy is the clear winner by a mile.

In the last year they have had about four short outages. Someone cut into the fiber line on one of them. Lightning struck some of their equipment one time.They have one of their technicians monitor the system at all times. They are usually back up and running within two hours or less. Air Canopy states that their uptime is 99.9%. My experience validates that statement.

Air Canopy is the name of the wireless service that I use. They have a very reliable connection and very good service. I highly recommend them in the DFW area. Their competitor, Texas Air net is terrible.Texas Air Net was unreliable and had poor service. Air Canopy has a wireless radio transmitter on a water tower about 1.5 miles from my house. The line is not limited to 3meg download. I am paying for 3meg. Sometimes I get 3meg. Sometimes I get more. Air Canopy also sells a plan for 6meg. Yes I am connecting through AOL. I keep it because I get a very low rate for AOL and I like AOL radio. I sometimes use it from other locations when I am not able to use broadband.

I am not buying broadband through AOL. I have a dial up account with AOL. I just use their home page, browser software, and AOL radio. I buy my broadband service through a provider that is not affiliated with AOL. Their name is Air Canopy Wireless.

I fixed my previous post. It now reads 3 meg download and 1.5 meg upload. Thanks for catching my error. I am using a wireless provider called Air Canopy.
