Could try clearing your cache before each test.

Over here they have to advertise speeds as up to. Example up to 52Mbps. There is talk of making them advertise their average speeds now instead.

Always used to use Opera as it seemed faster when I used Windows. Now just use Safari.

Has happened to me in the past as well. Always think there's something hampering my speed until I realise it's using Dallas.
