  1. Hey D, Cox Ultimate's not too shabby, eh? I think maybe you're confusing "rude" with "satisfied." I think I'll say that again... ah-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h Regards
  2. "...none the less lol" are you? Why, you think I'm funny? You mean, let me understand this cause, ya know maybe it's me, I'm a little f__ked up maybe, but I'm funny how, I mean funny like I'm a clown, I amuse you? I make you laugh, I'm here to f__kin' amuse you? What do you mean funny, funny how? How am I funny? Regards
  3. Well, I guess that explains why my upright freezer that shares an AC circuit with my SB6120 cooked all the food inside early last Wednesday morning...whadya use for an electron firehose on that juiced iPhone, anyway? Regards
  4. You keep winking like that and you can have my wallet, too! But when they pound on your door at 4 in the AM, you'll remember when you made that unauthorized copy, you made a date with the IP Police...you wouldn't have any night-shots of yourself lighted with just a handheld UV LED array in trade maybe? I still think it's funny that only the fathers carry the baby scorpions around on their backs; we must have outgrown that about the time we grew a spine. You've just got to admire an ugly bug, basically unchanged through ~a quarter-billion years of evolution, that takes his kids along for the ride when he goes out on the town—and I wasn't kidding about how loud that God-awful crunching was, either. But seriously, Miz TD, if you were willing to take those sorry lo-res copies, I'd much rather give you the 2Mp originals—you can zoom into some truly disgusting detail in the little guys. Regards and Good Luck
  5. Yo 'mudmanc4', While you're wishing Happy B—Day to your bro, your damn roach is sliming my iMac's 21.5-incher. Maybe I'll send my little friend to visit you...I should have recorded the audio; the carapace crunching was audible within 4 feet or so. Enjoy! And I do hope you had a happy one, 'EBrown'. Could my little friend and his kids please have some of the cake 'Conuck' baked you? It should go well with live roach...
  6. I think it's outstanding that you connect at all, half a world away—what's your method, satellite or underwater cable? Anyway Leo, regards and good luck!
  7. Yeah Mud, what’s up with that? I suffered through some anomalous tests results when our latest and greatest TMN iteration was in its “your mileage may vary” phase, but if I was popping ULs like yours I might look at some quicker alternatives—maybe an acoustical-coupled modem on your landline? My Cox Ultimate seems to be even quicker now, but I don’t want to bore y’all with the details…NOT! :::.. testmy.net test results ..::: Download Connection is:: 59485 Kbps about 59.49 Mbps (tested with 51200 kB) Download Speed is:: 7261 kB/s Upload Connection is:: 5664 Kbps about 5.7 Mbps (tested with 5983 kB) Upload Speed is:: 691 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net (Main) Test Time:: 2010-08-18 20:43:50 GMT D-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-RKJA90HNG U-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-NG36D2CRS User Agent:: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.2. 8. Well, your Qwest fiber whatever is certainly a lot more symmetrical than my cable; I've found myself waiting around for uploads to finish a bunch more than I ever waited for downloads. Regards
  9. Looking back, I exhibited a most girlie-mannish enthusiasm for what was at best a nominal victory for Firefox—but at least the post unnewguyed me. But I think we ought to admit, at least to ourselves, that testmy.net derived much of its initial cachet from its extensive folio of straightforward, reproducible speed tests...thanks, CA3LE! Regards

Clear victory to the Fox—need another reason to support Open Source software? Regards
  11. Thanks, Big Guy; now I'll just keep stirrin' the pot 'til the damn newbie tag drops off... Regards
  12. Yesterday I called Cox to see if anyone there could give me a more precise window on Ultimate (50/5mbps) Tier availability than RSN (Real Soon Now). To my great surprise, a courteous and competent sales staffer informed me that it was already available in Tempe and he could activate it immediately with no installation charge because I was Premier Tier. All I needed to do was reboot my SB6120 and put the pedal to the metal! An added $10 to $85 total per month doubled my bandwidth both transmit and receive. My little network flies now, both PCs and Macs, wired and wireless. I'll pull some tests on an iMac 3.33GHz thru a Linksys WRT610N, first wired: now wireless (~25 feet): I'm satisfied. Regards
  13. Hey Trooper, If my "member"ship length doesn't matter, I lose my whole repertory of double entendres Uh, thanks for the tip—nuts, you know what I mean... Regards
  14. No, How Long is a Chinaman. Excuse my non-PC iMac, but it really doesn't have the same cachet to call ol' How an Asian-American. Enough of a bad joke that's told to about a thousand new hired killers every year, now could someone clue me in on what it takes to stop being tagged a new member? I apparently have earned enough trust or raised enough suspicion to stop that duty, but isn't eleven months long enough to lose the newbie label? Good Luck and Regards
  15. Will you pay 1.7x$ for 3xTX and 3xRX? I just upgraded to Cox Ultimate, which definitely exceeds expectations of 50/5 for $85 month-to-month. I'm in Tempe AZ, so check with your locals before you commit. Regards
