Quote

(CNSNews.com) – (Updated) The Senate on Thursday evening voted 93-7 to approve a defense authorization bill that includes a provision which not only repeals the military law on sodomy, it also repeals the military ban on sex with animals--or bestiality.
On Nov. 15, the Senate Armed Services Committee had unanimously approved S. 1867, the National Defense Authorization Act, which includes a provision to repeal Article 125 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ).
Article 125 of the UCMJ makes it illegal to engage in both sodomy with humans and sex with animals.
It states: "(a) Any person subject to this chapter who engages in unnatural carnal copulation with another person of the same or opposite sex or with an animal is guilty of sodomy. Penetration, however slight, is sufficient to complete the offense. ( [a] Any person found guilty of sodomy shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.”
Family Research Council President Tony Perkins said the effort to remove sodomy from military law stems from liberal Senate Democrats' and President Obama’s support for removing the military’s Don’t Ask Don’t Tell policy.
“It’s all about using the military to advance this administration’s radical social agenda,” Perkins told CNSNews.com. “Not only did they overturn Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, but they had another problem, and that is, under military law sodomy is illegal, just as adultery is illegal, so they had to remove that prohibition against sodomy.”
So now it's OK , to rape a dog while defending the USA , or get your thrills inside a snake, or punk your military brother , so long as it's in the proper place at the allowed time frame.
Any thoughts on this ? Am I reading his all wrong , am I in the damn twilight zone ? I must be , or i was.

conflicting results from cisco router and smartest

Hi.
I just ran a test of my comcast cable connection as it seems to be running slower since we added TV to our package this week. Testmy reports:
Sat Feb 04 2012 @ 8:41:23 am US ../images/10/arrow-down-double.png 7.7 MB
7.14 Mbps 914 kB/s

and my cisco router test reports:

22.25 mbps dowload and 6.47 mbps up

Does anyone know what could account for this difference?

Obama Stonewalls Solyndra Investigation

Disordered Liberty has recently commented on the Obama Administration’s lack of transparency regarding the investigation of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee into the ill-advised Operation Fast and Furious, the federal program under which the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) recklessly allowed approximately 2000 U.S. weapons to flow across the border into the hands of Mexican drug cartel members.
In fact, the situation has become so untenable that Darrell Issa (R-CA), the Chairman of the Committee, recently wrote a letter to U.S. Attorney Eric Holder, informing Holder that the Committee may hold him in contempt of Congress if he continues to fail to comply with congressional subpoenas for documents, unless he asserts a valid a constitutional privilege excusing his non-compliance.…

Comcast DNSSEC and my router foulup

Tonight my Zyxel router lost its connection and then went in and out. I discovered that the secure SSID I created was gone, the admin password was reset to the default and it was sending out the default Zyxel unsecure wireless signal. I also discovered that the primary and secondary DNS servers were changed by Comcast to 75.75.75.75 and 75.75.76.76 respectively. I looked up and found out about DNSSEC and I guess Comcast finally converted us to this without any notification. I had no idea about all this coming at all, so was caught off guard.

Would this DNS change cause this sort of disruption to the router?

Today, the Supreme announced its April calendar, revealing that it will hear oral argument on April 25th, regarding Arizona v. United States, No. 11-182, the appeal of last April’s decision by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, which upheld a lower federal district court ruling that enjoined significant portions of SB 1070, the Arizona law targeting illegal immigration, on the grounds that state immigration legislation is preempted by federal law.
The most important provisions of SB 1070 enjoined by the federal courts are:
1. A requirement that state police officers determine the immigration status of a person who has already been legally stopped or arrested, if officers have reason to believe that the person might be an illegal immigrant;
2.…

Locking at around 14Mbps

Maybe my own forum can help me... for the millionth time. I rarely post questions but it's still taught me allot of what I know.

The past few days my modem or router seems to be locking at around 14Mbps. I feel like it's using one channel or something.

Here's the query http://testmy.net/st...=3&l=25&q=CA3LE ... see all of the 14Mbps scores... almost exactly the same, every time. Taken on different computers too.

(bet most of you didn't know you could combine two of the same type into one share image, huh?)

Now I should probably take my own advice and connect the modem directly to first eliminate the router as a variable. But I've got too many things going on right now to take my network down. Plus, it really seems to me to be the modem... I've done this stuff for a long time, at this point I can feel where the problem is... that's my only way to describe that, lol. Why is it doing that? I thought maybe someone else knew what I was talking about and could save me from having to troubleshoot it.

I can get my connection speed, or close to it on usenet. But it takes forever to ramp up. On usenet, to get to ~6000 kB/s or 46Mbps I had to download 275MB+ of information.
e.g.
Usually, I go from zero to full speed pretty much instantly.

What do you think?

HAHAHA

... and as always, speedtest.net has NO IDEA that there is even a problem. Even though there is OBVIOUSLY a problem. Seriously guys, help me get the word out... the evidence is so stacked against their tests, why does everyone use them!!?? AHHH!

This is rediculous my Belkin Wireless N router is sucking almost 12 Mb Speed out of my connection and I found out teh New routers Belkin has none are IPV6 Compatable so Belkin just Xed themselves off my list of future Products.
Sickening Directly wired to modem and i get 27-30 meg consistantly wired or wireless through router an d 20 is max I can get.
What is Belkin Thinking by not building IPV6 coompatability into any of their routers? At least I was informed of this 1 month ago when I first decided my router was weezing my juice and needed to be put down.
Linksys seems to have Budget Routers and Extreme performance ones Ipv6 ready so does Netgear from what I seen at Wal-Mart I guess it is time to do the hunt down max performance-Dependability for lowest price game going so I can fix this speed hog within a month sickens me that I am getting 1/2 of what I pay for not like Comcast isnt alrady robbing me blind now my router is working the conspiracy to hold me down and keep me slow.

I hope your New Year is starting off as good as mine. In my last community email I mentioned I had a baby girl due. I'm proud to announce our healthy baby girl Makenna was born 11-21-11 9lbs 5oz and surprises us every day. I took some time off but with a New Year comes new features and someone has to build them.
I am sure Damon wont mind me sharing his community news/e-mail .
I just wanted to say thanks for the knowledge , Friends found,
and even filling in the odd hours for me ,and raising a smile , and at times my blood pressure,
my comment , great to read the news
"healthy baby girl Makenna was born 11-21-11 9lbs 5oz and surprises us every day."
Bro, she won't thank you for being born so close to Christmas , ( Christmas kids get less presents ? )
9lbs 5oz wow bet her Mom was surprised ?
BTW I was born ( not in a cabbage patch as often suggested ) at 5Lbs 2 oz , but grew some to 6ft 2in.
(very fertile soil in the channel Islands , they grow cabbages 6 ft tall) *
Treasure you daughter, I still do mine , she is still my baby, lol but at now 38 she may question that ?

Satellite Service Testing

Satellite Internet Service customers must consider that their service goes over a satellite hop and due to the inherent delay in this type of service you should always run your speed test with a file size of 1 Meg or better. The larger the file size the better the algorithm can negate the delay and give a true speed result. Also be aware that dual test and automatic/smart test will start with a smaller file size and go toward a larger file and then average them out. This can skew the results because the smaller file sizes, which are probably not as accurate, will be averaged in with larger file sizes and test that are more accurate. Testmy.net is the best place to test because you have the ability to select the file sizes. Try it and see. Oh and if your satellite service offering is a really high speed service, 2 to 12 meg or better down and up, Use file sizes like 10 Meg down and 2 Meg up. Your results should prove what im saying. And don't trust most flash type test engines. They are not accurate!

Yesterday, Darrell Issa (R-CA), Chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, informed U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder that the Committee may hold Holder in contempt of Congress if he continues to fail to comply with congressional subpoenas for documents, unless he asserts a valid a constitutional privilege excusing his non-compliance. In Issa’s letter to Holder, Issa contends that the United States Department of Justice, headed by Holder, “misrepresented facts and misled Congress” during its investigation into Operation Fast and Furious, the federal program under which the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) recklessly allowed approximately 2000 ...

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has released its latest budget projections, estimating a $1.1 trillion budget deficit for fiscal year 2012, amounting to approximately 7 percent of the U.S. gross domestic product (GDP).The CBO also projects that the economy will continue its sluggish recovery, with real GDP growing by only 2 percent this year, and dropping to 1.1 percent next year. Additionally, the CBO estimates that unemployment will remain above 8 percent both this year and next year. The CBO actually offers up some encouraging news.
