After reading Reverend's post about them, I'm not so sure. I'd base your decision on your experiences with DirecWay. If you have been getting your advertised speeds, why pay more money for the same thing? If you haven't, ask some of the people in your town that have gotten it how it is.

It's a different type of connection. That's why it's so much more expensive than your cable with same speeds Justin.

speaking of connection, what kind of connection is it?

it never really mentions anything other than 'wireless'...nothing about if its cable or dsl or w/e (for everything above 'standard' package'

How can you NOT want that internet service?? I mean l00k at the professional website! Quality doesnt get much better, unless it comes from Ronald McDonalds Playhouse that is.
And with speeds of up to 4.5 GB i mean OMG!

PRAIRIENET is better than other service options

Dial-up So slow it hurts yer butt to use
ISDN / DSL Slower speeds and higher cost
Cable Limited availability
Satellite Slower speeds and higher cost

Very professional! :o

[edit]

Not to mention the added high-class humor they threw in..

Anyway with all fun aside, that website made by hillbillies isnt even a stand alone operaton. They are just resellers for Bellwave Communications. ( http://www.belwave.com )
So ... basicaly if they wanted to they could take all their customers money and "ride out into the sunset" and nothing would be done ... but on the other hand since they are a part of a bigger, more professional looking provider (who is owned by AT&T apparently)  they could be ....reliable...

So its your choice, but IMO id stay right where you are with your DW bastards. Switching would be like going from a car missing a wheel to another with a broken axle. It just doesnt make any sense.

Though the website may not be of the highest quality, we still have noone here who has experience with them. Like I said, ask those people around town that you say are getting it about the service. They'll be your best source of information.
