Test speeds.

Haven't visited the site in about 3 weeks, it looks completely different, and the speeds are absolutely horrible.

Reason for the slow speeds?

Must be your config :-

The sites never been running better.

My guess would be that these stats are for a 10+ Mbps/512 Kbps connection.

- Download 30 Day Stats (Overall Average =    6746 Kbps :: 823 KB/sec)

- Upload 30 Day Stats (Overall Average =    478 Kbps :: 58 KB/sec)

Optimum Online, New Jersey. Hasn't changed since the last time I've come to the site.

First two pictures are from my last visit.

The last one is current.  The upload is basically the same so no reason to post another.

So as you can see, it's the site, not me.

I don't understand, mine has been turbocharged. I was getting 1030 Kbps. Now look.

I don't use firewalls. Don't run antivirus/antispyware programs, I manually scan what I want when I want. I'm not a paranoid freak like other people. I have windows services nicely configured, my system is top knotch. My computer/router is DMZ enabled, router is perfectly configured, hasn't changed since last visit. I'm very experienced with computers, average for net stuff, wouldn't matter for this though.

Larger files just waste more time. ^_^

And magically my speed is even lower.

Funny. It's better, but not the best.

All I did was try to directly connect to the modem, didn't work, so put setup like it was before. /shrug

Seems I'm back up to speed..

I honestly don't understand it. My ISP said nothing is abnormal on their end, and nothing changed on my end. Reset router/modem, it didn't change a damn thing, then a few days later it's back to normal.

WELP, I'm off.
