Hi guys, I have a large prob with my internet DL speed. I should be getting 2.5 or higher
but I get this :

1480 Kbps about 1.48 Mbps

:::.. Download Stats ..:::

Download Connection is:: 1480 Kbps about 1.48 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB)
Download Speed is:: 181 kB/s
Tested From:: http://testmy.net/ (Server 1)Test Time:: 2006/06/10 - 10:28am
Bottom Line:: 26X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 5.66 sec
Tested from a 2992 kB file and took 16.563 seconds to complete
Download Diagnosis:: May need help : running at only 73.19 % of your hosts average (pacbell.net)
D-Validation Link:: http://testmy.net/stats/id-U90RNBJWE
Host Average:: host:pacbell.net dl-avg:2022Kbps
User Agent:: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; byond_3.5; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; yplus 5.1.03b) [!]

here is my TCP/IP analyzer info from speedguide:

TCP properties for IP = **.***.***.**
Browser/OS = Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; byond_3.5; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; yplus 5.1.03b)

TCP options string = 020405ac01010402

MTU = 1492
MTU is optimized for PPoE DSL broadband. If not, consider raising MTU to 1500 for optimal throughput.

MSS = 1452
MSS is optimized for PPPoE DSL broadband. If not, consider raising your MTU value.

Default TCP Receive Window (RWIN) = 63888
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 0 bits
Unscaled TCP Receive Window = 63888

RWIN is a multiple of MSS
Other RWIN values that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
511104 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
255552 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
127776 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
63888 (MSS x 44) <-- current value

bandwidth * delay product (Note this is not a speed test):

Your TCP Window limits you to: 2555.52 kbps (319.44 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your TCP Window limits you to: 1022.208 kbps (127.776 KBytes/s) @ 500ms

MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON

Time to live left = 53 hops
TTL value is ok.

Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF
Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON

IP type of service field (RFC1349) = 11100000 (224)
Precedence (priority) = 111 (Network Control)
Delay = 0 (normal delay)
Throughput = 0 (normal throughput)
Reliability = 0 (normal reliability)
Cost = 0 (normal cost)
Check bit = 0 (correct, 8th checking bit must be zero)

DiffServ (RFC 2474) = CS7 111000 (56) - class 7 (RFC 2474). Similar forwarding behavior to the ToS Precedence field.

Please help me, thank you.

Have you ever got full advertised speeds?  Or has it always been near 1.5mb.

if you worked find 2 days ago, then i think you need to give them a call, they make have changed some line noise patterns, it may just require them to switch it back for your speeds to be around 3mbps again.

Is that a traceroute?...
yeah that is tracer route.  Im wat kind of modem/router do you have?  Is the firmware updated?  If you have seperate router try taking a speed test with just the modem.  Make sure router and modem are not on top of each other
