I pay $75 a month for Road Runner Wideband 40/5. It's pricey, but worth it.

Frontier, after complaining repeatedly bumped me to 6M DS and 766K US.  This is what I'm actually getting though.  $50/month.  Only game in town, hopefully Comcast will be here in a year or so, they have some HUGE packages right down the road for the same price, I can't wait.

Wireless internet through a company called Hi-Beam...$55 per month for 5 down and 1 up. Small town I live in, choice is $165 per month for DSL for there 5/1 service which I paid for about 5 years until the new wireless company opened up for business. It'll be another week before I'm able to get my upload, but I"ve been working with this company and being patient with them, so I know I'll get my upload speeds soon.

Thats one major difference in price. If many make the move your former ISP will be forced to lower there costs.

I hope so, I've dealt with the lower speeds with the wireless company for a little over a year. I live in a town where the population is 650 people where for the longest time the phone company was the only game in town now they have competition. Hi Beam is getting better, 5/1 is good enough for me.

Was there a Issue with the test's the last month or so?
My Scores now are back where they should be with Chrome Beating out IE9 by a bit, The reason I ask about the Tests is If you look at my profile and speed History I was getting something like
5.1Mbps Down on this sites test but all other sites were normal
It is sad that Comcast has now Jacked up the price of my Triple Play ( Digital Starter 2 DVR's, Phone, Blast Internet) to almost $200 a Month, I get no HBO,Showtime, Max, Nor watch any On Demand PPV Movies, The Blast costs me an Extra $10.
I remember not long ago when I was able to get HBO,MAX,Showtime and Digital Premier ( The complete Package every channel)Phone, Internet for about $150 and at that Time decided it was to much to spend so I dropped back to what I have now with the Upgraded Internet and it cost me exactly $99 Per month with total being Under $120 with Taxes and extra Fees.
I have been looking like crazy to find someone here in Oregon that has Internet speeds Equal to what I have so I can drop Comcast, I do not care about Phone I can get a Cel if needed, TV is Something I would like but I need to have a Internet connection be a Minimum of 20Mbps Down and 5Mbps Up so if anyone has any Ideas or Knowledge Please let me know.
I already found Qwest ( Century link) Has Lied and said they have a specific speed but when they come to my location are sorry to inform me my best speed would be at most 1.5Mbps Down and under 1Mbps Up and Frontier which I believe was Verizin FIOS was supposed to contact me but I have heard Nota from them after requesting Info 3 Times online

Just a bit of heads up for you with my experience Comcast is great for New Accounts and do Backflips to get you signed but give them a Year ro so and all of a sudden you no longer are able to get any discounts and you bill will start growing Like Moss in a Oregon Yard.
I started out with a Bill of $99 now it is almost $200 and they basically told me unless I close my account for 6 months and start as a new customer ( Takes 6 Months to clear me to New) I am stuck where i am.
It is Pathetic since i have been a Supurb Customer since 4-07 Payng my bill on Time and everything but I have heard they Are concerned with New customers and do not much care about keeping current customers as much wich to me is Strange but I can tell you I believe it 100% by the way I have been treated when attempting to find a way to get my Bill lowered.
