i have a 3700+ and it is a very good single core cpu. might not have the overclocking cababilites of a single core opteron but overclocks very nicely. the amd dual cores are also nice considering the x2's took a huge price drop but nothing overclocks like a dual core opteron.

my 3700+ overclocks very nicely i got it running at 2.6ghz right now with the stock.

not a problem, glad we could help but if i were u i would consider the x2 3800 or if u want to pay more then i would get the opteron 165 with good cooling
o and do not compare ghz for ghz when comparing amd to intel. look at the benchies ;)

Look to the Conroe, :P.

Intel finally got away from just GHz.

i dont think he is gonna go conroe becuase he has really expensive ddr ram and of course conroe is not compatible with ddr

edit: I think ddr makes more sense than conroe, yeah? lol ;)
