I will just have to make sure that I work something in that will calcualte from my end how much data is used (like log what tests were taken and calculate from there) PM me bro... resopalrabotnick Posted January 9, 2005 CID Share Posted January 9, 2005 a quick and dirty way might be to have the dl tests do the following: when a test is started add 3mbps to the total for the duration given for the slowest cable time. so the 3 meg test would reserve the 3mbps for 16 seconds. that should let you tally it up, it wouldn't be accurate in any sense of the word, but it would show if there /is/ indeed a problem with too many concurrent tests. In the morning with barely any users me and vanburen can realy "stretch our legs" anmd get the full benefits of the speed tests. I have posted my speeds as the problem was happening to them...... I'm not agreeing or disagreeing I'm just confused that if the bandwith is minimal at that moment why doesn't it affect me??? But I am in the middle of the US in boring Oklahoma a little to the right of arizona next to new mexico for those that don't know were oklahoma is on top of texas! But vanburen says he get good speeds on the east coast and I beleive him but I guess not to good in the middle of US becuase of all the hops. He ran a test on my connection and he say alot of hops and a 185 ping time so yea! And when I test on his test site I get about 300kbs or so top of 600kbs and here I get about 2.5mbs or 2.6mbs!!
