I have heard mixed reviews... I hear there are currently a lot of bugs in the game.. kinda like BF2..  But you guys like it?

lol looks like a great game, but my pc can barely run battlefield 2. and unless my laptop's integrated Radeon Xpress 1100 chipset can run it i wont be playing it untill i buy a new pc.

I haven't had any major problems...They had a server issue for a little bit, but it was quickly resolved, and was only with the demo...I haven't had any problems with the full game, besides the stats lagging behind a little...

I think most people who have problems are trying to run the game on a dinosaur, or have pc issues that just happen to show up when they stress the machine during the game...I had few problems with BF2, or any other game for that matter.

This game is a little to much for me..

Its so frustrating having to play with the keyboard and mouse...

Dunno maybe its just me, but i'd rather see behind a gaming console with a nice joystick..

Well, finally ran into a problem today out of nowhere....

I could login to first screen, but when I tried to log into my BF2142 name, it would lock, and a few times gave me a BSOD, with a stop error(sometimes I would just get a BF2142Pace.exe error)...Strange, since it had worked fine just yesterday...

The only thing I did, but I had played since I had done it, was update to a beta bios for my board...Thought possibly that did it..So I downgraded my bios, but the problem remained...

So did some research, and found the problem/solution...

The problem lies with this:
Security Update for Windows XP (KB917422)
-Check under add/remove programs, and make sure "show updates" is checked...If this update is installed, DO NOT uninstall it like I have seen some suggest...

-Download the fix from microsoft...

Installed the fix, and now everything is fine....
