* Click on Use the following IP address option. Enter these data:
* IP address: 10.20.30.40
* Subnet mask: 255.0.0.0
* Default gateway: leave it blank
* Click on Use the following DNS Server addresses:
* Preferred DNS server: leave it blank
* Alternate DNS server: leave it blank
* After you entered correctly all the data, press Ok.
and in cmd promt i type "arp -a" and i got a lot of Canopy IP address so i copy all and save, then when i do enable DHCP thats the time i can't open the canopy page and i don't have internet connection so i did this step again but i used the other Canopy IP address "10.247.222.45" that i copied and try to save actually this is not my Canopy IP address this Canopy IP address belongs to other subscriber. i don't know how it happen but it works. even i have an internet connection still i want to use my own canopy ip or my antenna.

i'm not sure if get it right, but the canopy manual said that the rates can be set by the APs, so maybe the APs are doing this automatic modification of the data rates.
does anyone know about this automatic thingy that my canopy does?

try using a router. just plug in the PC lan in to the router, then the canopy's. after that, go to cmd and type in ipconfig /all to see your router's IP. go to the router's access page in your browser by typing in the router's IP in the address bar, it's usually 192.168.1.1 but it differs from router to router.
if you have done it correctly, you may now view the IP addresses that are connected to that router - canopy's IP included.
use the IP address of the canopy you found in the access page of the router to access the canopy's page. then disable the DHCP option, save and reboot.

is yours a linksys router? mine's of different brand eh.
well, browse thru the navigation menu, maybe something like administration or status. there's gonna be a list of IP addresses connected to your router. it's not that hard to look for since the only ones connected are your PC and the canopy. :]

The following questions are directed to those who've actually tweaked they canopy settings but soon after, they couldn't access their canopy anymore.
- Did Smart Communications discovered you had access to your canopy? How did they knew about it?
- How did you discover it you no longer had access? Did the message "New settings in your connection have been detected, your account is temporarily deactivated" suddenly appear in your browser?
- Were you still able to activate your account after the incident?
Thanks!

try to read my post, we cant blame smart if our connectoin would drop out occasionally... canopy just need more height and proper connection configuration,because sometimes - too much traffic in the base station(tower) kicks us off.
