don't care for chickens much. geese are much better. get em as goslings and imprint em on you and they wont leave the vicinity of your house, they will keep the law trimmed perfectly (well, ok, they will also crap all over it, but that's the breaks) and they are the best damned alarm system on the market. anyone or thing coming close to the property is greeting by  screaming and hissing mass of geese that will bite quite hard and will not be easily discouraged.

wow this is an old topic. But ya I had this thought. What if Both parents had to be legal in order for the baby born within the country is considered a citizen. That would change things a lot !

Something alot of people do not know is that as of 1996, there is no such thing as anchor babies.  The US government can and has deported the illegal alien parent and put the US born child into the foster care system.

An excerpt from the explanation of the new law:
http://www.theameric...utionality.html

What does it all mean?

In a nutshell, it means this: The constitution of the United States does not grant citizenship at birth to just anyone who happens to be born within American borders. It is the allegiance (complete jurisdiction) of the child’s birth parents at the time of birth that determines the child’s citizenship--not geographical location. If the United States does not have complete jurisdiction, for example, to compel a child’s parents to Jury Duty–then the U.S. does not have the total, complete jurisdiction demanded by the Fourteenth Amendment to make their child a citizen of the United States by birth. How could it possibly be any other way?

An end to anchor babies:
http://worldnetdaily...RTICLE_ID=53711

The framers succeeded in their desire to remove all doubt as to what persons are or are not citizens of the United States. They also succeeded in making both their intent and construction clear for future generations of courts and government. Whether our government or courts will start to honor and uphold the supreme law of the land for which they are obligated to by oath, is another very disturbing matter.

Ok so my parents were both born in mexico and came here illegally. ( My dad was 4 and my mom was 6 months old) Basically they were raised here in the U.S. I'm not an "anchor baby" correct?  :cheesy:

There is also something called grandfather clause where if it was not illegal it still good. If I commit the crime yesterday and it became law today, I am still innocent. Therefore any from before 1996 are not under that law.

Just in case that was a question.
