I guess they have the same reasons as me and the next guy in the queue ,
they want a slice of the American pie, they are tired of living on the crust back home, if they go through the hardships that you describe, they must have a desperate reason,
I guess thats what emigration is all about legal or otherwise, note my friend I am not saying it's
is right to do this ,
BTW,  if you are thinking of jumping ship think carefully about the UK ,
60 million people in an area a lot smaller than Texas , sorry I cant give pop.per sq. mile figures
but we run Japan a close second, you want a house with 2 acres , yeah we got them , just bring $8 +Million and it is no problem, nice little semi in a nice road $ 1 Million ,
most brits are heading to Spain and giving the Spanish Gov. big problems , that door may close
soon ,
we have just had a emigration road show at a nearby horse race course , Canada, Australia and New Zealand are crying out for skilled workers , the show was packed out and ran for a week ,
they are not running from the imigrants , but the UK's taxation system,
Thankns Roco, but You nailed it on the head as far as Austrailia. They are in extreme need of skilled workers. I have done all the nessesary paperwork needed. I fit into there criteria, as far as being exepted into there country. I have a few issues yet to be resolved as far as the medication for my child, and the proper health care. Getting these things in order, seems to be the most difficult. It is a big step, and it is being done legally, I will recieve a visa to investigate further upon my application . And I will set-up shop at that time w/ the correct employer, in the correct field. There are several now, that I am interested in. And yes, wow, the property is outrageous there as well. lol

The biggest problem with politicians is I have not yet seen one that can make everyone happy.  They all say what they feel the people want to get voted into office then don't do much about the problem.  Look at John Kerry for example.  He returnens from Veitnam and is embarassed about what he di over there.  To the point of calling himself and the other veterans "Baby killers".  Then he runs for president and all of a sudden he is this war decorated hero that his commanding officer had no idea where he got the medals because he never did the paper work.  That is jus one of our corrupt politicians.  Nearly all of them have there hand in oil and big business somehow.  No matter where the businesses go or who works for the big business they get paid.  Now I'm not saying all politicians are corrupt but there is enough of them that the good hearted ones cannot do anything to change the system.

Yes my ancestors came over from England.  The people that where here first did resist and now we speak english instead of the many languages that the local people spoke.  We now have immigration laws to help prevent this.  This has been done by all countries and some have more problems then others.

Thing is I do not here of many other countries with such a high rate of immigration problems that he USA has.  Yes it has for them to walk across the border.  Canada has a rather large border with the USA but do not hear of a problem with the Canadian people immigrating to the US.  Yes the Latino are a hard working folk but they are putting a strain on the system theat the politicians refuse to admit.

Like I said I have nothing against immigration.  My wife is an immigrant and so most of her family that is here in the states.  But they did it legally.

And there are some local government's that are doing something about.  They have made it illegal to hire an undocumented worker.  If caught you lose your business licence and get to pay a hefty fine and maybe jail time depending on how many you hired.  It is a start.  Those that are here illegally do have ways of becoming legal but again refuse to because they have it to good by cheating the system, plus they do not want to learn english.  It is a problem that will get bigger and it is the faut of the american that wants cheaper labor.  We can only blame ourselves but anyone that say immigrant workers are not hurting the system are blind.

Actual I could give a rats ass about cheap labor. If I have to pay more, OK. But at least the strain would be lifted. Like I said once before, they should be paid the same for doing the same job.

I read somewhere that field hands only get $.60 per day. I doubt it, but I would be appalled that anyone would come here for that change. It would not be worth it. Our dollar is not that much stronger than the Peso. I heard once it is like our dollarr is worth 5 times as much in Mexico. Maybe someone could clear that one up for me. I am not sure if it would be written somewhere.

But regulation is very important. Not just a wild uncontrolled flow.  :tickedoff:

pssh, and i used to think Tommie was cool...
If you think that uncontrolled inflow destroying my country, and wanting self preservation for my family is un-cool. Then I suppose you really did not know me. My family comes first. Same as anyone. I would literally take a bullet for my 2 daughters. So this should not really suprise you if you really knew me. I this regard I am no different than the ones we are talking about. Except I already joined and do my part.  :smile2:

Then you may have to point it out so I may further explain it.

Easy boss. You know this one. Old fashioned values. Same as this thread. Teach them to have the same pride in things that we grew up with. PRIDE is almost lost in this country. That is what we are losing. Patriotism is pride. That is also what mexicans are not bringing with them. In the old days illegal immigrats brought pride in workmanship and their self with them when they came here.    :?

My forefathers did. Hard work for less than an honest days work. You will never read about Irish imigrants being lazy and no good. They were just plain broke from the potato famine in Ireland. They needed, work, money and a place to live. And they followed the rules that already existed. Non of them cheated the system. They earned what they got. Same as I. (At least according to all that I have read or heard anywhere.)

:smile2: Tommie Bro , we share the same inheritage ,  so how can I disrespect
that , just look at my surname , Yeah , I am distantly related http://en.wikipedia....s_(Irish_leader)
, justI now I fight for a diferent cause , lol the fighting Irish  it never leaves the blood,
so dont' preach the potato famine , or I will  quote that funny green man you had in the States . don't make me angry , you wont like me if I get angry ,
Peace Bro .  :smile2:
What I was trying to say in my clumsy way was directed to world peace,
I really cannot understand how any parent can train their child into a world of hate ,
as a pagan , is it not time that we all recognise we are all brothers ,  and the time for fighting is over ,
Oh F**K guess I am just a idealistic dreamer,

I think your on the right meds, or close, wasn't that never never land dream from the UK?

I just happened to think back to 35 years ago when working on a college nearby and about 8 miles from the Canadian border. At lunch I was sitting with my cousin and uncle and a Border Patrolman drove through and glanced over. He backed up and rolled down his window ans said" hey there, you have a green card?" I looked at him and said "no, mine is well aged now and passed down hundreds of years, show me your g r e e n card, I don't think you've been around that long." With that he rolled up his window and continued on.  :knuppel2:

Personally I don't think that visitors rob as much funding as the benefits the politicians and their families reap after they are out of office, check that out.  :icon_pale:

I would rather see the Government put a cap on all Medical costs, really every year Medical cost go up and up and up..
I once went to the ER and was there 2.5 hrs. got a bill for $986.00 on the bill was a charge for cleaning the ER exam room.well if they charged the person before me he/she got ripped off cause that damn room still had a bloody bandage in the trash can and it wasn't even in the bio-hazard can...So conclusion is NO  THE GOVERNMENT IS THE REAL THIEF.....

Hey, I totally also agree with you there. Partly because the drug Co.'s are way over charging us, compared to the ones in Canada. And we as a people sue way too much, we also have to pay for all the lawsuits. Where do people think the lawsuit money $$ comes from. We pay for all lawsuit happy jerks.  :tickedoff: And yes the gov't if they did not have their hands so deep in the till, could help out a bunch here.

And yes I like (not love chicken) chicken. And I would also like a shot Roco. Is it the good stuff?  :azn:
