dedicated server HELP PLEASE SOMEONE

ok i have my dedicated server working but i cant get it on the internet anyone please help me...i herd u have to change the ports on my router i did that but it still doesnt work help someone
please!

put the computer in the DMZ temporary just to see if it is a port issue.
also make sure the windows firewall is off.

DMZ is short for demilitarized zone. In a network, it gives completely unfirewalled access to one specific computer on the router. Only use this if you are having trouble with your router blocking incoming traffic. There she be an option in your router configuration to enable this.

go to 192.168.1.1 and click on applications and gaming and click DMZ... type in the last 3 digits or 2.. whatever you have setup and click apply =)
if the net doesnt work go to COMMAND PROMPT and type in ipconfig /release then type ipconfig /renew

If DMZ mode works for you and you're happy doing that, make sure that you enable DMZ again after you're done playing. I heard it isn't safe to keep your connection on DMZ mode.

You can run a server in the DMZ of a router, thats if you've got your port properly set. Using IPtables or many other means to control httpd traffic.
