I ran this test to do not know if it will help you.

TCP/Web100 Network Diagnostic Tool v5.2.1e

Checking for Middleboxes . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .  Done

running 10s inbound test (server to client) . . . . . . 1.72Mb/s

Your PC is connected to a Cable/DSL modem

------  Web100 Detailed Analysis  ------

Cable modem/DSL/T1 link found.

Link set to Full Duplex mode

No network congestion discovered.

Good network cable(s) found

Normal duplex operation found.

Web100 reports the Round trip time = 126.08 msec; the Packet size = 1460 Bytes; and

No packet loss - but packets arrived out-of-order 0.13% of the time

This connection is receiver limited 93.95% of the time.

Increasing the current receive buffer (27.0 KB) will improve performance

This connection is network limited 6.00% of the time.

Web100 reports TCP negotiated the optional Performance Settings to:

RFC 2018 Selective Acknowledgment: ON

RFC 896 Nagle Algorithm: ON

RFC 3168 Explicit Congestion Notification: OFF

RFC 1323 Time Stamping: OFF

RFC 1323 Window Scaling: OFF

Packet size is preserved End-to-End

Server IP addresses are preserved End-to-End

Information: Network Address Translation (NAT) box is modifying the Client's IP address

Server says [66.117.105.128] but Client says [172.25.25.2]

Checking for congestion

(cwndtime > .02) [0.06>.02], (mismatch = 0) [0=0]

(MaxSsthresh > 0) [0>0]

bw = 88.34 based on packet size = 11Kbits, RTT = 126.08msec, and loss = 1.0E-6

The theoretical network limit is 88.34 Mbps

The transmit buffer (101.0 KByte) limits the application to 6.25 Mbps

Your receive buffer (27.0 KByte) limits the application to 1.67 Mbps

The network based flow control limits the application to 1.76 Mbps

looking good now, Retransmitted data packets:  0

i dont think you can get faster down, cos then you start re transmit packets

but you can try to finetune Default Send Window

its 16384 now add 8192 each time, so next value you can test with is 24576 and next 32768 and so on, untill you get 90 % of 1024 Kbps = 0,9 x 1024 = 921 Kbps

good luck

I have been messing with the numbers nad still cannot get back to what I had before they switched me to fastpath. I normally averaged 1.7 down and at least 740 up.

Now I am getting 1.3, 1.2, 1.4 on download.

My uploads are around 700.

I guess it is safe to assume that the first hop really don't matter .

I will keep trying!!

try this, after that run tweaktester, and if you have re transmissions then lower TcpWindowSize and GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize

by 1460 each step

if you dont have re transmissions, increase them instead in steps of 1460 until you reach the braking point where you start getting re transmissoins

I finally got it back up to where it ws before they switched  me to fastpath.  I was hoping for a little more bump in speed, but I guess the ping do not effect it so much.

I am going to call ISP tomorrow and see if they bumped my speed down to 1.5/768.. I will let you know! :)
