Ok, I need some help with fixing this.  This computer should not be this slow.  Acer Aspire 4520 with wireless.

My operating system is Windows Vista, I am using Acer Aspire WLAN connecting through a hotel.  I have a Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter.

Alright there are better people here to talk to you about EVDO, but I can say this about hotel access. May times they don't have the capacity to serve you as they say because most the time there is no system admin to make the adjustments needed. The ISP comes in and sets it up, and thats that.

Vista supposedly runs it's network settings dynamically (on the fly TCP adjustments ) , so it can be difficult to set things the way you want them.

There is a way to use cablenut on vista, read this thread carefully , and follow it exactly. Some people have had good results, others not much. Iv'e used it on a local vista system, and it worked rather well.

I just moved today and am waiting on my internet install so I am using my phones connection on my computer (wifi sharing on WM 6 hacked HTC Touch Diamond)... I usually get twice this speed at my old place.... but here it is...
