My new cpu cooler should be here today,
i was thinking about overclocking it to about 3ghz.
I have never actually overlcocked any cpu's so this is my first,
is there anything i should be aware of besides slowly increasing the HTT?
i think the multiplier is locked on this chip. Thanks.
Overclocking my 5600

orange- he said its a 5600 you can google it its socket am2 2.4 or 2.6ghz
you can increase the fsb slowly and decrease the htt to 4x or 3x as long as it under 1000mhz and check your temps often ..alot am2's hit the wall around 3ghz so good luck
