hey man i see you only have 2 posts...but dont be coming in here and dissing this site...its more accurate than any other site out there....you may just have a problem with distance or something to the server....
could be as simple as that...not like the site is "broken" ...hell you could just have to pick a different test size...not that difficult.

anyways, i wanted to say...dont come in here and promote other sites..that is spamming and justifiably a reason to get suspended/banned if its repeated offenses... just giving you a headsup....

if i were a mod i'd also edit your post for spamming speedtest.net....that site doesnt even work... it only has one test size and its servers are way too inaccurate...

if the download and upload is inaccurate its inaccurate.  this site is fine.  The tests don't work.  I'm sorry you need a hug and are dating this site.  I picked every size offered here and get a different low reading everytime(2800 or worse/600 or worse..)

  Nobody is spamming anything.  the illegal supposedly spamming(speedtest)is the most accurate site Ive found.

I just wondered why the test here is so bad.   The number of posts I put here?  You really are clueless.  What does that matter? Your post to me wasn't helpful was it. How many you posted?  LOL

thanks for your helpful reply.  I cleared the cache under tools and delete all(browsing history). 

Still getting 2800/500 readings   I know its faster than that(Im getting 12000/1500 elswhere). 

Any helpful response is appreciated. 

My san diego roadrunner is rated 15000/1500(it runs 18500/1700 most days).

Are you getting a good tracert to here? Some times I get really bad speed test because of my trace route to here and better speed test to other sites.

Try using a mirror site close to you.    Could be a bottleneck between here and your computer, that wouldn't necessarily show up in a tracert.

Name calling will NOT be accepted PERIOD here. This is an official warning. If you wanted a better response you could have worded your post MUCH better. Welcome to the forum, I think you will find that with the right attitude this is a very nice place to hang out. You must also understand we have had alot of spam from competing sites due to testmys growth and respect so please understand why some members can be testy at times.

u have been using the 12mb dl test but not the 50 and u never tried the 2992mb link that coknuck gave u...maybe u didn't see them...i'll post them again for ya...

Goes to show how different sites react differently. When I ping TMN, I get a high of 19ms and a low of 11ms. My DL is almost always around 7500-8000 Kbps:

When I go to that "other site", I get ping times of over 200ms and my DL speed this morning was 2726Kbps. TMN's server is in Dallas, the other one is in Austin and I am in Houston which makes TMN's server farther from me than the other guys'. They used to have one in Houston (it disappeared recently) that showed similarly poor results.

thank you all reply-ers.  I apologize for getting a couple of people upset.  My original post had no name calling.  It was a factual post.  My response to starship?  I called him heyman?  and clueless because "you are only smart if you post alot was inferred".  I apologize if this was out of line. 

I posted my speed from another site thinking this would help show my speed.  I'm not spamming anything.  Ive always used this site and tell my clients to use it. It has not been accurate for me I even got my cable company out here and had new cables installed with a dedicated connection.  He showed my speed on the "other site" telling me that this site is inaccurate.  I don't want to believe that.  Cable guys aren't the smartest.  So I posted here.

which is no way correct...but this is how i always test out there...i like the numbers but they aren't real...maybe ur paying for one package but they really have u set up on another...maybe that's why they want u to test there...just a thought...how about test results from other sites

i pay for 15000/1500.  my fastest run around 20000/1900.  I use downloaders like flashget which also shows the download speed of whatever your downloading.  I definitely get the fast speeds shown by other site.  This is the only site I get bad readings.  Ive tried several.

the big one just froze IE and did nothing but take forever.  didn't find any other mirrors(links).  my posts keep getting moved all over the place.  You want to post a link here again I will test and report results.  thank you for your help.
