Howdi.

I hope one of the linux technicians in the forum could help me out with this one.

I am trying to install a simple LAMP server with this tutorial: (http://www.howtoforg...h_fedora_core_6)

I have followed that tutorial step by step up to where I need to use yum to install some packages. When I try to do that, I get an error saying "Temporary failure in name resolution" I am imagining this has something to do with the DNS servers?

I am running a dedicated server, and running vmware on top of it to install Linux. I have 6 IPs and I have binded one to Linux at install (it says everything is ok and binds ok to it). I tried pingin to its ip from my PC and no luck, however from the server lan I was able to.

Any help? If need more info, ill be glad to post it.

    Have you tried ,
[root@localhost ~]# yum clean all

????? From my understanding, this should force loading all headers next run.
