First overclock woooo!!!!!

CPU- Intel E6750
Mobo- Abit IP35-E
RAM- 2 (soon to be 4) GB Crucial Ballistix DDR2 800
Heatsink- Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
PSU- OCZ GameXtream 700W
So I bumped the FSB to 400 and left the multiplier at 8 making it 3.2GHz and bumped the voltage up to 1.35v. And someone told me that I should lower the DRAM frequency from 800MHz to 667MHz. Is this right? I just did a stress test for about an hour and temps didn't break 53C

Dropping the DRAM frequency doesn't make any sense, if you have memory capable of running at 800 Mhz using a divider makes no sense. Running a 1:1 divider is even believed to give a slight performance increase. Also, which stress test did you use?

Learning to OC is an art, you really have to learn each component , and know there limits as well as how they work together . It gets rather addicting. Unless you have a liquid cooled system, chances are you won't reach much higher than 20% of the stock value. It depends on the MB, and all the devices. Sounds like RTB knows his shit, might want to call on him when you keep resetting the bios

I guess he could get about 3.6 Ghz 24/7 stable out of it, but in a bad case he'll need lotsa volts and his CPU cooler is mid segment, nowhere near the Thermalright Ultra Extreme and similiar coolers. Intel 65nm Conroe CPUs are usually good overclockers, 1 Ghz OC isn't absurd. Just note that if you go any higher, you'll have to either put the memory on a divider or OC it as well. Also, 4 sticks of memory is much harder for the memory controller than 2, you may have to do some tweaks at the MB section to keep things functioning, unless you're going to switch over to 2x 2GB of course.

CPU voltage droop is normal for a Intel processor. My is set to 1.325 in the BIOS and Cpuz read it at 1.296.
Here is a thread that will explain it to you. Scroll down about half the page to find the information.

My Xeon X3350 is running at 1.325 volts with a overclock to 3608 MHz from a start of 2660 MHZ.
