I will be moving this weekend, and I will need to cancel my DSL service.  I signed up for a 1 year contract, which expired on 09/12.  Does Verizon give you a hard time about canceling, or is it a smooth process?

All ISP's want you to stay because you are paying them, but if the contract is up, you are free to do whatever you like with their service.

When I moved to a area that wasn't served by comcast they tried to get me to keep an account with them, and they will try to get me service. It made 0 since, just a stupid way to try and get some money out of me.

They even tried to pull the contact crap on me.
