I applied the Reverend's tweaks and get 995-1012 down and 70-90 up almost all the time, except for evenings when the whole internet slows to a crawl.

Is anyone getting speeds above 1000 regularly with a DW6000. I read there is a limit, and judging by my speeds, I would agree.

Here you go: (I was in a hurry to leave last night, and didn't run the tests then)

:::.. Download Stats ..:::
Connection is:: 995 Kbps about 1 Mbps (tested with 2992 KB)
Download Speed is:: 121 KB/s
Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net/
Test Time:: Fri Feb 25 06:45:20 EST 2005
Bottom Line:: 18X faster than 56K 1MB download in 8.46 sec
Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 22.69 % faster than the average for host (direcpc.com)
Validation Link:: http://testmy.net/id-EKA6M8BLS

:::.. Upload Stats ..:::
Connection is:: 70 Kbps about 0.1 Mbps (tested with 579 KB)
Upload Speed is:: 9 KB/s
Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net/
Test Time:: Fri Feb 25 07:07:58 EST 2005
Bottom Line:: 1X faster than 56K 1MB upload in 113.78 sec
Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 66.67 % faster than the average for host (direcpc.com)
Validation Link:: http://testmy.net/id-QKDGMW5ER

And with the next size up:

:::.. Upload Stats ..:::
Connection is:: 41 Kbps about 0 Mbps (tested with 1013 KB)
Upload Speed is:: 5 KB/s
Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net/
Test Time:: Fri Feb 25 07:12:15 EST 2005
Bottom Line:: 1X faster than 56K 1MB upload in 204.8 sec
Diagnosis: 90% + Okay : running at 97.62 % of your hosts average (direcpc.com)
Validation Link:: http://testmy.net/id-FWKEXMGNB

I believe this is typical. Since I don't upload much, the smaller test is more indicative of speeds browsing (I have no complaints there most of the time) For uploading photos or a song. AWFUL! We wait until bed time and do it then!

Here is a link to my averages

And right after that, I ran Dway's crappy test:

The test is running...
This test may take 1-2 minutes to complete.
For accurate results, please avoid all Internet activity until the
test is finished.
..
** Speed: 626(down)/256(up) kbps **
(At least 18 times faster than a 33 kbps modem)
Finish.

It can't be much bigger than that, the whole test usually takes about 10 seconds for me.

No wonder none of them believe the speeds suck. They always reference their test, and those results aren't half bad!
