I dont think its a good idea........

They cant tell whats OK and what isnt most of the time and if they start playing with a TOY GUN,they might think a real gun is the same!!

Bah , malarky. Unless of course one lives in an area that is crime ridden.

Look at the tip of the gun, there always orange.

I had play guns, and real ones, I never aimed one anywhere I  wasn't going to fire. I don't see things working that way, at all. It's how people are brought up, and what environment there in.  Monkey see monkey do.

Thats just another anti gun add.  All the while there is real crime going on. Geeze .

[sarcasm]  Why stop there.  Why not take a way toy knives, and action figures.  Those teach violence.  Oh and we can't have barbies, because some impressionable child might become a sexual deviant by seeing it naked.  Lets get rid of toy cars too, since kids might crash cars into shit when they grow up, because they learned it as a child.[/sarcasm]  Note to parents, lock up guns.  Give kids toys...

children should be allowed to play but with strict adult supervision ...

adults should be mature and responsible enough to teach their kids the proper ways of handling one ...

toy guns or not ...

cheers ...

dont get me wrong but some parents show that kinda "macho" effect with guns ...
which sets a very bad example to kids ...
imho, it all points to good parenting and setting up good examples ...

i think its a good idea to let children play with toy guns. That way kids will learn about guns at a young age and then they will know how to use is properly. If you teach them to use the guns safely, it is less likely that they will do something stupid with a real gun.

Two things you can teach your kid above all else at an early age, the rest will basically follow.

"Self respect and respect. "

After those two are installed the rest is easy.  :smitten:

You got that right, but noooo, there are so many that are so inept in this section, that they just see it easier to put laws on the books to criminalize people for not doing what t " they  " see fit for someone else's children.

You should let your kids play with toy guys, hell let them shoot a real gun. Let kids play knives and things that are dangerous. As long as there is a parent around to teach them the correct way to use it its perfectly fine.

Society is turning our kids into a bunch of pussies by telling people its not ok to do things that were perfectly normal not to long ago.

Hey wanna hear something even more funny ? They have started to program car keys that are for kids, they allow the car to go only as fast as  80 MPH  :2funny: :2funny: Is that all ?  :haha: :haha:

Maybe they could make some guns that way as well, you know, they would only shoot one bullet  :haha:

Hey that would work. Go to shoot up a school and only able to cap one person.  :2funny: :2funny: Then that person is faced wit the delimma. If I shoot anyone else, I can not shoot myself after. Bummer.  :uglystupid2:

And if it worked you could program convenience stores to where they do not work inside the building. So the guy is outside shooting in.  "You better throw the money out the door before I start shooting and try to hit one of you people hiding in there."

What I think it boils down to is the liberal frame of mind that children should be put in "time out" instead of getting their bottoms smacked when they do dangerous or bad things. I know when I was a child I got a good butt smacking for acting idiotic or doing idiotic things and the fear of getting another butt smacking kept me from repeating that same thing or similar things. I feel when you put a child in time out you are pretty much telling them the only consequence to their bad behavior is sitting in a corner. But of course nothing will help that child when their parents are to busy to spend time with them and let them run rampant b/c the parents have "better" things to do. Then there are the kids that nothing will help and they just do what they feel like doing regardless of the consequences.

Exactly on the time out. Time out shows no attention. And we all know kids crave attention. Which is where butt spankings come in. Its a form of comunication also. It is saying I care enough to take the time for real. And todays idiotic Dr Phil society has tried to convince us all that what is in the bible is wrong. So let Dr Phil and his go to hell. Not mine.

Whip your kids for gods sake, it is your right and duty if you ask me.

Time out is for wussies.
