Notice in the end of the story below that "The Mexicans that died have been healthy enough"..... A little Arsenic on top of the feel good story..... But how many people have gone to Mexico feeling well and then Montezuma's Revenge occurs.
My Flu's are generally 24 hours, or a weekish long, with the Flu ending once I break 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's weekly report said no fewer than 800 flu-related deaths were reported in any week between Jan. 1-April 18, the most recent week for which figures were available, CNN reported Tuesday. Seasonal flu is expected to keep killing hundreds of people every week for the rest of the year.
The researchers looked at deaths in the 122 largest U.S. cities with about 9 out of 10 of the deaths among people age 65 or older, the reports said.
Dr. Brian Currie, medical director at Montefiore Medical Center in New York, said most times the elderly already have health problems that the flu makes worse.
"Regular influenza can be taxing," Currie told CNN. "It causes their underlying disease to decompensate and then they don't have the reserves to get through it. While it may not be the direct cause listed on the death certificate, it certainly contributed."
Worldwide annual death from seasonal flu is estimated between 250,000 and 500,000, the CDC report said.
One of the reasons medical experts are concerned about swine flu is that many of the more than 150 who died in Mexico have been young and otherwise healthy.
People are living too long(some in a very sick state as well) and the Earth is over-populated. Nature will take it's course one way or another.

Hey guys, be careful what you wish for... seems this ties very closely into the Tea Party thread. If the Airlines ground themselves because their "might" be an issue, where do an individuals personal responsibility for not coughing in someones face, or where does the effect on economy come in?
You can't have it both ways... right?

There was a bit on the Simpsons about opening a box of something from China and an infected mosquito flying out and biting someone. Or was it some Asian guy coughed in to the box? Or both....
I had the Zing Zang(not spelled right) flu about 15 years ago. What a great week that was....... Lost part of my sense of taste and part of my sense of smell disappeared.
then there was the original hitch hikers guide to the Galaxy, where the earths population died off due to having expelled the phone sanitizers off the planet with the rest of the useless humans occupations.
