<grumble grumble> mine forgot it was mother's day. I had a quiet day at home. Reading and sleeping. No house company or kids. They ran off to friends and I didn't even realize it was mothers day til I got a phone call . so how could I grumble too much if I didnt know. ? I know everyones special day but mine.

Yes she was, but just getting her electric back after not having it for a few days she was busy. So me and the girls may try tomorrow again after it all settles down. The Oklahoma tornadoes was what did it. She's fine.

thank you...i had a great mother's day...my kids threw me a bbq/pool party...it was awesome...fajitas and margaritas and swimming...
miss.priss, what did you do??
for me there was little sadness in the air...spent friday night in the er with my oldest son (38)...somebody came up behind him and cracked him in the back of his head...gashed his head open...skull fracture and internal bleed...they thought he had a broken neck and broken ribs too...but no...they stapled the gash (4'') and kept him in icu til late sat afternoon...said the fracture is straight and clean so it will heal with no intervention)...so he was on the couch sleeping at my daughters house during the party (i made him go so i could watch him)...not acting himself (angry...loveable...angry...loveable) but he's alive. someone he knows cuz he vaguely remembers being rolled out of a car into my yard...(guess he got into a fist fight with his friend)
that blow could have killed him...what the hell did he get hit with to do that much damage??...split wide open all the way to his skull...
so that was my mother's day...it was spent having fun and being a mother

I got to spend the lovely day with my family and went on a shopping spree......wooohooo....I dont do that very often. Then after lunch the hubby kept the kids while i went to get a pedicure (good shit!!!) and a manicure.
The place where I went had so many options you could do for pedicures. One was a margarita pedicure and they will serve you margaritas while you got the pedicure. I didnt get that one, for one reason i dont drink. Well maybe once in a blue moon. Even then it tastes like SHIT!
