ok i got the belkin usb adapter (model name is in title) and it said the drivers were installed correctly, but the light on the usb adapter wont turn on and windows keeps saying its not recognized.
any ideas?

I'm sure you went into device manager and made sure it was installed, and the driver is in place , right ? If so, then leave it in the USB port, and uninstall it in device manager, then restart, see if windows recognizes it then.

tried, it still said unrecognized and now when i install the driver it says there is a "dialog box error" so the install program crashes...

I've got a TrendNet wireless network USB adapter. When I tried to 'plug and play' it on Windows 7, It would fail as not being OS recognized. But when I installed the drivers(Vista version) first in to Windows 7, Then plugged in the adapter, it worked fine.
