On verizon and decided to try tethering my new BB Tour using tetherberry, results seem awesome to me, I have a satellite in yard that I am currently using; Hughesnet Pro Plan and my numbers are not this good, atleast it seems they are not.  I will try to post them using just the dish to make sure.  Anyone else using similar setup please show me is my speeds are similar or not.

That would still be faster than hughes. Since no satelite signal bounce.

yep, seems alot faster to tether my phone.  So far it has had steady speed that my satellite has never given me, and my dish speeds posted are the best I have had in a while(it is 0230 here so dish traffic is light).  Think I will at best downgrade to (s)lowest package they have and use the phone for most of my things when I want speedier performance from my laptop, plus if I am using my laptop, odds are that my phone is right beside me.

Do you have true unlimited data on the BB or still limited to 5G a month?

all of my paperwork states that it is an unlimited data plan, cant find any hidden fine print, etc stating otherwise and when I called VZW customer support and ask about data etc they stated that if my phone could do something, then it is OK and covered by my plan.  I guess that time will tell.

Thats the one. I have been often told on forums I can not have totally unlimited, but my bill has showed 60 megs per month and I have not had one bill over my original. So thats the only way to really know I feel. I the bill stays the same. I have sprint EVDO by the way on my desktop.

Iv'e got an unlimited plan from Alltel, and believe me, if there was a cap, they would have shut me down , a loong time ago. Hell, I set an HTC diamond touch for a world phone, so when in Aruba there's no extra charges, and I proved it several times now, no cap, and no limits.  But thats just my plan.
