Hello,
Well I have a very strange problem. I have a laptop HP6730S and I can't log in to the internet from my home. Anywhere else I can connect..if I go to the net cafe I can log in or to any other place I can log in but not here. I have a PC and the it's perfectly  connected, but when I try to connect with the lappy I get the msg that Acquiring network address but it never get connected. The network card green light doesn't flicker. On my TCP/IP properties I've clicked automatically obtain network address, and everything else seems to be right. I've tried everything but no solution. Has anyone have any suggestion as a solution for this strange problem?

Is your router locked down that it needs the MAC address of wireless computers?
Thats part of the security so neighbors don't steal your wireless signal.  And along with a passphrase too.
