Given the fact that Time Warner Cable doesn't see substantive competition in the majority of their markets, the company has the luxury of taking their time when it comes to DOCSIS 3.0 and 50 Mbps service upgrades -- despite being the nation's second largest cable company. However, on the heels of an announcement last week that they'd be offering the faster service in Rochester, New York this Spring, Time Warner Cable today announced they'll also be offering the service in Raleigh and the Triangle area of North Carolina around the same time. Users in upgraded markets can sign up for a new 30 Mbps downstream 5 Mbps upstream tier that costs $25 over Time Warner Cable's standard plan (which can vary in price and speed by market depending on competition), or a 50 Mbps downstream 5 Mbps upstream tier for $99 a month.

Since no one posted on this topic. As of this writing Time Warner is testing 50 Meg in the San Fernando Valley. They now have 10,15,20,30,50. I don't know the prices but I think its probably a pretty penny. I wanted to edit the last post to say that the company is fully into the transfer for DOCSIS 3.
