Buying a new PS3 , what if anything should I be aware of. I'll figure the size of the drive later, I'm more concerned with newer /later models / features that I should be looking for.
thanks, rick

Everyone always tells me the older models are better. I have the original myself and I've had only one problem after years of operation, the fan started making noise. I had a PSP (product service plan) from Best Buy so I got it fixed but it seriously took two years of constant use for that to happen... I took that service plan to the last day, literally.
So, maybe people are right.. maybe the old PS3's are better. But I haven't had a new one to compare to so make sure you educate yourself before you trust my word.
Good luck!

i owned an original, had no problems with it what so ever. i didnt play it much after about a year, so i sold it...but then again i bought a new model ps3 at the beginning of the year and havent had a single problem, only thing i had trouble with was getting my wireless to work which turned out to be more of a user error haha. but seriously, ive beaten many games on this ps3 and only problem ive seriously had that was the console's fault is that i tried to do like 5 things at once in the playstation home program, and got serious lag when trying to select options, but that only lasted a second or two and havent had any other issues since. also just had a new system update, in which it seems to run a little smoother than before when loading menus and stuff on my home screen.
