Anyone else waiting for these titles?

Personally, March 6th, 2012 is the one date I have reserved on my calender.

Battlefield 3 comes out October 25, 2011. It seems like it will be a good game, great FPS Shooting vs. Story Balance from what I have been looking at. Set in Iraq/Iran not long from now, it is a huge improvement over the last installment, Battlefield: Bad Company 2: Vietnam.

Warning: Trailers may contain profanity and violence.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfrrAp1blaM

Full length trailer:

The next date I am looking at is November 8, 2011. Modern Warfare 3's release date. After being a fan of almost every Call of Duty (Excluding Black Ops), I want to see if Modern Warfare 3 get's back on the right track.

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim looks like another decent game coming out. Gameplay on it doesn't look to bad, it might be the only Elder Scrolls game I enjoy. This comes out November 11, 2011.

And finally, the one game I am going to pre-order, Mass Effect 3. The third and final entry into the Mass Effect series. March 6, 2012.

This is my most anticipated game of 2011/2012. I played (still do) the first two games avidly, and cannot get enough of them. With the third it seems like it will be amazing. Graphics might not be to much of an improvement, but then again, Mass Effect 2 had some of the best graphics of it's era.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Of8bi3lU-Os

Has anyone else noticed that the "Shooter" games are going more toward Civilian-Areas? Maybe it just feels that way to me.

The E3 Demo is beautiful. It shows gameplay being pushed to the max. Not only with the typical Weapon-Based combat of Mass Effect, but the Omni-Tool Sword, as well as the Normandy's upgrades in destructive power, and even the Reaper upgrades.

Apparently there is a Kinect Integration with Mass Effect 3. You are able to select dialogue options with your Voice, as well as order allies with your voice.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gesJDORzfoI

So what games are you looking forward to in 2011/2012? If I have already showed them, what do you like/dislike about them?

Thanks,
EBrown

I'm most excited for Battlefield 3 but will get MW3 as well. They both look good to me but BF3 looks really good. I can't wait to try it out on this Panasonic VT30 I have sitting here and on my 27" iMac at 2560x1440.

Battlefield 3 has convinced me to get a new Video Card and try out the HD TV in my Living room. (Most specifically, 52" at 1080p.) I also want to test out my Blu-Ray Player's Surround Sound with it. (1250 Watt's of Sound should shake the room up.)

that will look and sound nice. i only have a 37" 1080p with a small surround sound (5.1) system. it booms just like that on most games, so bf3 will be awesome. i like the fact that they brought back some of the good features from BF2 also.

other than that im going with saints row the third.

oh yeah, by the way, an interview with the creators of MW3 said that later in the game there will be thousands of troops massing against each other....sounds good but so far BF3 is on top IMO.

Neat.

I am not so convinced that Modern Warfare 3 will be a good game, anymore. I just don't think I can get it when Black Ops was such a disappointment. Although, I read that they are doing away with some of the more ridiculous perks. Which would be a good thing for Multiplayer as it was way out of balance.

Battlefield 3 is coming out soon, I really cannot wait until I can play it. They put a lot of effort into the graphics on it, and they seem to have put a good amount into the sound as well.

I just need a job so I can play it at 1080p. :P

i played in the alpha test and it was amazing, i was getting glare from sniper scopes a good 300-400M away
it seemed less demanding on my system then bad company aswell. i think they're doing it right this time no stupid console porting for us pc users
and i feel the same about MW3... it just doesn't have much that actually makes me want to buy it although i probably will at some point

Damn, I would have loved to get in on that Alpha Test.

How do the mechanics of Battlefield 3 look? Are they well-designed?

They felt very well done to me the only thing that bugged me was the vehicle speeds weren't tuned yet so a Stryker would do like 0 to 60 in two seconds flat lol but everything else felt amazing the tracers the knifing were all awesome plus if you wanted to get creative you could blow a hole in a wall and shoot through it which I did many times down in the subways

HELL YES!

You could blow holes in walls in BC2 as well, actually, you could destroy entire buildings. :P (Which is how I always win. Lol)

Now, I have a question, are the graphics good HD? Or crap HD like BC2 was?

Edit: That reminds me, I need to reinstall Bad Company 2.

Definitely seemed to have an improvement over bc2 but that could just be because I was running a dual core back then with a 9800 gfx  card and wasn't able to run it on max

Ah, cool, cool.

My PC is Dual Core with a 9800GT (OC'ed slightly). It runs BC 2 on High, with a relatively low AA. (4x AA, not FSAA or QAA or whatever. :P)

I am looking into a new graphics card, I can't decide between ATI/AMD or Nvidia though. On one hand, Eyefinity is beast, on the other, GeForce's tend to do well for me. And their cheaper. :P

I don't know yet though, I have to get the $$$ for it first.

I don't know that it is absolutely necessary for mine. (I only play games at 720p right now anyway.) I may just wait until I can afford it.

I think this weekend I will be pre-ordering Battlefield 3 and Mass Effect 3.

i'm going to wait until a little closer to the BF3 release date the beta won't start till 2-3 days before it releases so theres nothing to get in a hurry about, i'm playing in just slightly higher then 720p atm i'm sure i could play 1080p no problem though i recently upgraded my 4GB of ram to 8GB and man what a difference, best $25 i ever spent

I don't generally use a large amount of RAM. I need to upgrade to a Quad or Six core and a new GFX card. (Graphics first of course, for obvious reasons.)

i didn't ever use large amounts of RAM either before this but i was playing a game that uses UE2 engine and windows was using somewhere in the ballpark of 1.5-2GB of ram and then the game wanted 2GB of ram so when i would ALT+Tab it would get real screwy now i don't have any issues and have plenty to spare i waited till my ram went on sale and when it finally did newegg sent me a 25% of coupon code in the mail so i was like heck i can't beat that and i got free shipping to boot

even dual monitors would have issues once you get to the point where there is no system ram available for windows to do its thing >.<

Yeah. (I guess it also helps to have a laptop I use for most generic BS.)

I usually only use 2GB RAM max. When I game it might jump to 2.5/3GB.
