Yes it is true , the doorman are striking again in NYC upper Manhattan.

Every three years they are up for re negotiation , this past contract was a four year deal , which is now expired.  Word is as of now the men and woman that open the doors and perform other services for the residents of [place building name here] are striking.

Yes they do have the right , to do anything they wish. Myself , I find it more then hilarious there is a union for doormen. Let alone the fact that when you decide to be a doorman , you know your in a SERVICE sector. That used to mean , hey , I'm going to be happy opening a door , carrying luggage ect , accept what I get in tips and pay.

Any doorman that wants to force feed themselves money by blackmailing the company they work for is nothing but been co opted by the unions , and being extorted themselves.

Guess it's just me that see's the unions all around greeding and needing more more more. Hey , 20$ roll of crappin paper is what people want thats what they'll eventually get.

That and likely b forced to pay hidden amounts of money, just like they do on a pizza delivery now , you have no choice but to pay the tip chosen by the pizza company if you want it. They state such and such amount is  " included " in the price. Excellent, include your own " tip " .
