Geezus H , get a damn grip ! There is life beyond your eye brows for pete sakes. Stop listening to the morns that continue to keep you entranced by the wisdom that the obama can do no wrong , and everything he does or wants to do , is the right way , the only way , and simply must happen , or everything will come crashing down
Can we stop blaming bush for everything yet ?

Each time i start talking to someone about the current situation in the USA , or walk into a discussion of any kind where people are talking about the obama and or how there are so many people against what he is working so diligently trying to ruin, it's still to this very day , impossible for people to stop blaming the last president , three years ago , for what is going on today , that the obama himself has actually done.

It did not start with Obama really, he is just continuing the fiasco Clinton started, much like Bush finished the Gulf war. <wink> But no I agree Bush really did do mostly good, but you have to remember its easy for the majority of the media to brainwash americans easily for the democrats.

just my pennies worth , being non American ,
it's pointless blaming any one President or Prime Minister, a perfect storm started as a gentle breeze back in the mid to late 70's , some argue it's like the great depression of the 1930's ,
I don't believe that is so , this is totally different , back then America had no world rivals ,
today there has been global changes, late developers are finding their feet and marching forward,
mostly by using western knowledge and improved technology , something we failed to invest in while the times where easy ,
the future?, assuming no one president can turn the tide , " the English King Canute (985) who thought he had the power to control the sea tides" ....BTW, the local coastguards rescued him ,
by the time we figure out how to make products cheap enough that the world needs, my grandchildren will be retiring,
Edit to add , every time I mention America , add UK , as we follow a few steps behind ,

Rains from the sky a meteoric shower
Of facts... they lie unquestioned, uncombined.
Wisdom enough to leech us of our ill
Is daily spun; but there exists no loom
To weave it into fabric.

By the time the people of the US decide to start once again making something that the world can use , I'll be showing off my best features , as I did 6000 years ago in some distant star. Star dust, reduced to basic elements , flesh absorbed by the physically living, back in line to become a turd , to fertilize something and be eaten again, crapped out along with a seed, maybe become part of a huge oak tree that some hairy arm pit hottie will chain herself to in the name of free pot for everyone.
Promising future.
Promising future.

The USA does make products cheap enough, it just would take another sam walton to stop buying made in china and do a little leg work and search the factories out and sell made in USA again. Its really that simple, but his kids could give a crap really. Sad to say the least. Yes I honesty put some of it on Sam Waltons kids. No doubt. I don't care about union made, but made in USA is pride in yourself.

Please name a few things that the USA makes that are in high demand , and affordable top the masses . And by the masses , I mean those that choose walmart over the corner store.
Hell , walking the dog in the park yesterday , there are bags in these holders that are called poopbag , looking at them , they claim to be biodegradable. Sure ok. Well these tiny thin plastic bads , are made in China. The US parks system either has no option to buy anything made in the USA , or the cost is not close to what it should be for a thin plastic bag.
The wife was kind enough to get me a crucifix for Christmas, it was fantastic ! Very nice design. The cross was ion coated, great looks and even better durability.
This cross was about 2 inched high by 1.5 wide, on the back , big as the sun , were the words " MADE IN CHINA" , no way to take it off , as if i would fake it.
A cross, With embedded country of origine on the back ? Geezus H
I grab a lot of bulk items at good prices , sell them and make a few bucks. Wife calls me up telling me that Kohls dept store had a sale on large candles. Which we burn hell out of around here anyhow. They were normally 29 bucks , she grabbed 31 of them for 4.99 each. ( shows the profit margin btw ) . Look at the bottom where the candle info is , yup , made in china.
You would think that the shipping wieght plus the cost of manufacturing would eliminate the possibility of shipping a couple thousand miles. Nope. Candles , from china.
Water bottles , china , soda blanks , china, almost every dog / cat cow toy sold in made in china or india. People cry when there animal does from some kind of poisoning from ink or rubber on a toy , but they go right back out and buy another POS from a country that has no standards or morals.
Made in USA my ass.

interesting point Mudmanc, "The oak tree etc ," I think we may have gone to the same college of knowledge ,
(pagan preparatory ), for wayward boys and girls . but the green man emblem is in all early English churches even today ,
also the origin of my Norman heritage , a Norman knight (Norseman ) impregnated a French girl , she dreamt from her belly a great oak grew and it's roots covered the world , and it did for 700 years , and even today the Magna Carta is the basis of English civil rights , as we don't have a written Constitution
getting back on topic ,
Money is tight , so we buy cheap , who supplies cheap ? , it's a never ending spiral , the foundation for this was laid back many years ago , when money was more plentiful , but nobody could resist a bargain or cheap credit ,
today Britain's most successful shop is £1 land , nothing over £1 , ( $1.5 USD ) they got printer cables that used to cost me £11.50 , Ethernet cables the same , 6way USB hubs £1 , I am too embarrassed to say how much I paid 10 years back for the same item made in the UK ,
my computer ?, well at least the cabinet was made in the UK ,
I tell Eee , we are doomed
only kidding, I am sure I can survive on a bowl of rice a day , while stringing 10,000 beads,
BTW, happy new year guys , may you live long and prosper ,
