not sure where tis is leading ,
but solar pannels was never the way forward , it was the lastest and greatest in the UK ,
like power from the sun ?. :D  most UK folk suffer from lack of sunlight , ( me included )
but we have the second highest sea tides in the world , ( no investment )
we now have cut subsidies to panel makers and users ,
but then what is $535 million , when you are talking of Trillions of $ debt ? ,
I guess a week of Afganistan costs ,? , I can't be arsed to do the search ,
internal investment got America out of the 30's depression ,
maybe that might work again , maybe not . I would be interested in other ways out of this mess ,
just post them up
Upon this gifted age, in its dark hour,
Rains from the sky a meteoric shower
Of facts... they lie unquestioned, uncombined.
Wisdom enough to leech us of our ill
Is daily spun; but there exists no loom
To weave it into fabric.

suggestion # 1

Cut off cold turkey American public of there addiction to cheap China junk. Effective immediately. Stop ALL incoming shipments from China , everything, no matter the instantaneous consequences . Turn them back.

Suggestion # 2

Have a coke and a smile , your life and outlook of your children's future will be improving in the coming months.

Solar panels are free electric with no moving parts. I know one day as the become more popular they will decrease in price enough to fnally make it worth it.

The common view among economic historians is that the Great Depression ended with the advent of World War II. Try this fo reading. Its pretty good. Although I doubt that would work again.

I personally am still with muddies thoughts, I have been since the beggining. Buy american when possible always. Make it a motto like we did with WW1 and WW2. Promote made in america spending, and advertise it hard. It would work, and force Walmart to change the way they do business.
