House Committee Seeks to Interview Second Assistant U.S. Attorney re Fast and Furious

Yesterday, Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) requested that U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder make Arizona Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Morrissey available to speak with Committee investigators concerning his knowledge of Operation Fast and Furious. Last week, Morrissey’s supervisor, Assistant U.S. Attorney Patrick Cunningham, informed the Committee that he would exercise his Fifth Amendment rights and refuse to answer any questions pertaining to Operation Fast and Furious. In his written request to Attorney General Holder, Issa noted: Last week’s revelation that Patrick Cunningham, Criminal Division Chief of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Arizona, was going to assert ...
