Disordered Liberty has previously commented on the Solyndra debacle, a scandal in which the Department of Energy [DOE] needlessly threw away $535 million of taxpayers’ money on a now-bankrupt solar panel manufacturing firm, notwithstanding the fact that DOE was aware that the firm was in dire financial straits at the time it provided the federal funding. In fact, if DOE had been a private sector firm, and had invested investors’ money in Solyndra, DOE would have been civilly liable to the investors for a breach of fiduciary duty, because it failed to ascertain and seriously consider Solyndra’s financial condition, as well ...

Is this just a rehash? Like a broken record someone cherishes and is afraid to replace? But today thats about all  the news is. Like the death toll count of the Iraq war. I thought the useless count would never end. Like that was real news.
