Disordered Liberty previously commented on a presentation last month by an independent panel of experts, not tied to the gas and oil industry, before the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in Vancouver.
The presentation was based upon a recent study (released 02/15/12) by the Energy Institute of the University of Texas (Austin), entitled “Separating Fact from Fiction in Shale Gas Development,” which concluded that fracking techniques can be conducted in a safe and environmentally-friendly manner.
