Today, on the second of three days of scheduled arguments concerning the constitutionality of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, commonly known as Obamacare, several Justices appeared skeptical with respect to legislation’s central provision, the individual mandate, which basically requires all Americans to purchase health insurance. Justice Anthony Kennedy, who often represents the swing vote between the conservatives and liberals on the Court, noted:

Here the government is saying the federal government has a duty to tell citizens it must act,” [changing the relationship between the government and a person] “in a fundamental way.

Conservative Chief Justice John Roberts expressed his view that if Congress can require individuals to purchase a product based solely upon the manner in which the product is typically purchased, “all bets are off,” further stating that “[o]nce we accept [that] principle, I don’t see why Congress’s power is limited.” As the oral arguments continue this week, rather than focusing on the constitutionality of the President’s health care legislation, Disordered Liberty believes that it is appropriate to pause and consider the manner in which the legislation became law. …

Its a crock of crap, and I hope it goes down in smoke like Obama's ass. If Obamacare fails, I have a feeling Obama will lose the election.

The focus on what appears to be a very serious issue with government power , is just a small part of the 2200 page group of government powers.

For some reason media is drawing attention to knocking down this sliver of the bill. Which there are many more sections , that have nothing to do with healthcare , but bringing in revenues from mandates created to fund it.

I might answer my own question , and say if tis section is found unconstitutional , then the bill in it's entirety must be revoked.

Obama will get re elected, no worries.

So how's everybody doing in that little head of yours ? ™
