On the morning of the day that the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee scheduled for consideration of a contempt citation to Attorney General Eric Holder for his failure to comply with the Committee’s subpoena request for information regarding Operation Fast and Furious, Holder’s Justice Department has notified the Committee that President Obama has invoked executive privilege to avoid producing the subpoenaed documents. 
Following is a copy of the text of the letter to Committee Chairman Darrell Issa: 
Dear Mr. Chairman: 
After you rejected the Department’s recent offers of additional accommodations, you stated that the Committee intends to proceed with its scheduled meeting to consider a resolution citing the Attorney General for contempt for failing to comply with the Committee’s subpoena of October 11, 2011.…
