yeh the wind helps...but when it slows down those with respiratory issues start have more problems breathing

To me it just seems fires this time of year are about normal. Sad though it may be. I had a couple of small ones yesterday with the fireworks, not so big I couldn't stomp them a bit though.

the monsoon actually doesn't help...because the rain isn't enough to put it out and and wind actually fans the flames and spreads them

Last I heard.. Colorado's fires were 45% contained. Yeah, rain doesn't help much... the fire is so hot it evaporates before it can remove any of the fires heat. The winds ... well.. they fan the fire, lol. But rain can slow progression or give firefighters a little better chance to catch up... but again, if there are high winds it does more harm.

The gasses in the atmosphere are making some really pretty sunrises and sunsets here is Arizona right now... every day. Pink, peach, yellow and red... even more than our normal pollution usually helps create.
