Running testmy.net from a citrix connected PC

Greetings,

I get good, consistent, download test results when testing my regular office network.

However, when I try to run similar tests on another LAN that uses Citrix, the testmy.net results are completely wrong and vary significantly.

For example, the circuit that connects our facility to the corporate LAN is only a 2 MB circuit but testmy.net (and other similar test websites) give download speed results that vary from 5-35 MB.

Obviously completely wrong.

Is there a way for me to get reliable download speed results or is the Citrix interface always going to cause issues?

Thanks

Tony

Citrix uses alot of different software based alterations to "optimize" the experience. Going remote lan will always yield skewed results when it comes to networking seeing how its not a direct connection. More than likely they yse a compression type software to "boost" speeds. You could always try and optimize** the box with citrix installed and see if that makes a difference; if anything it may show faster results after that .   but honestly any remote vpn or such types of programs will not show accurate results some times.
