whats upppppppp....well i gotta quick question.....all right here it is :)

is testmy.net having some kinda slowdowns lately ? or ? because whenever i test on testmy.net website i cant seem to test in the advertised speed area (4000/512) but whenever i use cox.net's test server (i guess located in las vegas - im in phoenix arizona right now) it shows i get advertised speeds (before, i always got good tests at testmy.nte - about 4.7mb/s - which is right)

this is cox.net's testing server - i dont know if its actually sponsored by them, but it seams it is http://test.lvcm.com/

and here's testmy.net's test

:::.. Download Stats ..:::
Connection is:: 2254 Kbps about 2.3 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB)
Download Speed is:: 275 kB/s
Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net/
Test Time:: Thu Apr 7 14:14:01 MST 2005
Bottom Line:: 40X faster than 56K 1MB download in 3.72 sec
Diagnosis: May need help : running at only 74.17 % of your hosts average (cox.net)
Validation Link:: http://testmy.net/stats/id-XCLKWU5F1

testmy.net seems a bit slower than usually, well at least for me.....what factor would have such a big impact on testing between those 2 servers

Testmy is running fine for me today, I just tested at that server that you tested at, and my results were about 900kbps slower than what I get at testmy.net

Well....Cox puts me at 883 down.......testmy..745 down
          Cox puts me at 15.3 up............testmt...36 up
AND...Cox says I have a round trip time of 23 ms.......Max pause of 79 ms...I'd like to see that from a sat. system.....lol :haha:

I wouldn't put too much faith in it...

judging from that picture, that cox test looks like this one flash (it was either flash or java applet) test that i took a while back, and its results were HORRIBLY off.

honestly, dont go by the cox rating...ISPs never seem to have good speed tests (roadrunner austins speedtest is even worse than what yall cox people seem to have)
