You are so correct. There are no perfect settings, I went back to the VB 6000 Ver 9 file and one tweak to firefox. Man what a difference.

QUESTION:  How do you explain that my upload to testmy.net is slower then anywhere else?  (cause im behind a router?)
Not to bash testmy.net, my fastest most accurate downloads are from testmy

I think my download speed was faster with the old modem- upload is much better. They installed a Surfboard SBG6580 but kept wi-fi off (extra 10 bucks). Upload is definitely capped at 5. Anyone know how to turn on the wi-fi? I'm running it through my WRT310N router.

Never using one of these, I can take a stab and suggest head to your modem page , and have a see what is there to be had at . PLease report back with screenshots if possible
