just came to my mind about internet connection in brazil
its one of the most developed countires i think in south america i am just wondering about speeds and Adsl or Cable penetration in there
whats happening in there regarding the internet?

We have Virtua, Speedy and Velox.
Virtua: 8mbps, 4mbps, 2mbps, 200kbps
Speedy: 250kbps, 2mbps, 4mbps, 8mbps
Velox: 1mbps, 2mbps, 4mbps, 8mbps
Up is: 128kbps < 1mbps
300 or 600kbps > 1mbps (like 2mbps, 8mbps)

Now, NET Virtua (cable) is offering from 200kbps to 100Mbps, as I said in the other topic.
GVT (the unique trustable ISP that offers ADSL2 in Brazil) is offering from 3Mbps (almost U$180,00) to 100Mbps (don't know the price)

Thequila, that's not true. ADSL2+ is offered by GVT, Oi/Velox and Telefónica. Speedy ADSL2+ is from 1mbps to 4mbps, Speedy Xtreme (FTTH) from 8mbps to 30mbps.

yes, you told the true ratings, but I still say that GVT is the unique trustable
