What proxy settings if any should I use?

Post Your Average Speed!
26 February 2005 - 09:06 AM
Since a speed test is just a snapshot, lets see your average!
Go to www.testmy.net/d_load.php and scroll down to where it says:
Your personal connection / login information
IP Address XXXXXXX
Computer ID / Connection ID XXXXXXX
Username XXXXXXX
Internet Service Provider direcpc.com open
click on "open"
That will open the page to check your average for the last 30 days!
Viola!!!!!
If you can test 2-3 times at about the the same time each day you will have an awsome database to average.
Any programmers out there? How could you set it up to test 3 times, upload & download at the same time, 3-4 times per day? Can that be done?
Looks like DirecWay went from an 816 Kbps average Download yesterday to 755 today.
Your Upload Average = 39 Kbps :: 5 KB/s
Your Download Average = 758 Kbps :: 93 KB/s

DW4000 on ebay for 99.00 w dish
12 February 2005 - 02:11 PM
I see a dway 4000 with dish and power supply on e bay. I am thinking of buying it and returning my 6000. That would save me $500.00 and cut my monthly cost to $59.00.
What do you think?
