Compare Performance and Pricing of ISPs in Thailand

Hi there to all broadband users in Thailand,

I would like to gather info on Performance and Pricing of your ISP as guide to us all.

Measure for Performance:

Advertised Download Speed vs Best and Worst locally tested download speed

Here are my Data;

ISP = True Internet
Pricing = Baht 952/month unlimited (US$ 25)
Speed (Kbps)= 1024 vs 1004 and 768
Location = Bangkok, Pravet

Cablenut Settings for Overseas DSL users

Hi,

I have attached my ccs file for ADSL PPPoE 1024/512 kbps bandwidth.

Those who wants to make adjustments to suit their MTU values, please note the following:

63888 = MSS 1452 (that is,  MTU 1492 - 40) x 44
31944 = MSS x 22

Here are my test data:

Connection is:: 420 Kbps about 0.4 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB)
Download Speed is:: 51 kB/s
Tested From:: http://testmy.net/ (server2)
Test Time:: Tue, 17 Jan 2006 14:00:37 GMT+0700
Bottom Line:: 8X faster than 56K 1MB download in 20.08 sec
Diagnosis: Looks Great : 5.79 % faster than the average for host (co.th)
