Here is my 5/2 plan on FIOS
:::.. Download Stats ..:::
Connection is:: 5101 Kbps about 5.1 Mbps (tested with 5983 kB)
Download Speed is:: 623 kB/s
Tested From:: http://testmy.net (server2)
Test Time:: Mon Jan 23 2006 08:28:34 GMT-0500 (Eastern Standard Time)
Bottom Line:: 91X faster than 56K 1MB download in 1.64 sec
Diagnosis: Looks Great : 8.58 % faster than the average for host (verizon.net)
Validation Link:: http://testmy.net/stats/id-Q4NBWCR28

:::.. Upload Stats ..:::
Connection is:: 1832 Kbps about 1.8 Mbps (tested with 1496 kB)
Upload Speed is:: 224 kB/s
Tested From:: http://testmy.net (server1)
Test Time:: Mon Jan 23 2006 08:29:01 GMT-0500 (Eastern Standard Time)

SpeedGuide.net TCP/IP Analyzer

TCP properties for IP = 72.64.136.251 ()
Browser/OS = Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5
Notes: Read the Analyzer FAQ if the above is not your IP address.
TCP options string = 020405ac0103030301010402
MTU = 1492
MTU is optimized for PPoE DSL broadband. If not, consider raising MTU to 1500 for optimal throughput.
MSS = 1452
MSS is optimized for PPPoE DSL broadband. If not, consider raising your MTU value.
Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 513920
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 3 bits (scale factor of 6)
Unscaled Receive Window = 64240

For optimum performance, consider changing RWIN to a multiple of MSS.
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
511104 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
255552 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
127776 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
63888 (MSS x 44)
bandwidth * delay product (Note this is not a speed test):

Your RcvWindow limits you to: 20556.8 kbps (2569.6 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 8222.72 kbps (1027.84 KBytes/s) @ 500ms
MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON
Time to live left = 59 hops

TTL value is ok.
Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF
Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON
IP type of service field (RFC1349) = 11110000 (240)

Precedence (priority) = 111 (Network Control)
Delay = 1 (low delay)
Throughput = 0 (normal throughput)
Reliability = 0 (normal reliability)
Cost = 0 (normal cost)
Check bit = 0 (correct, 8th checking bit must be zero)

DiffServ (RFC 2474) = No valid DiffServ equivalent. See the TCP Optimizer documentation, or RFCs 2474, 2475, 2597, 2598, 2873.
